NC MDPP Region 3

The North Carolina Minority Diabetes Prevention Program (NC MDPP) is a free, year-long diabetes prevention program covering healthy eating, meal planning, physical activity, and overcoming barriers. Funded by the NC Office of Minority Health and Health Disparities, this program is open to all eligible adults.

For more information, visit the NC MDPP webpage or contact the NC MDPP Region 3 Coordinator at (336) 703-3219 .

We also offer the Faithful Family Program, connecting a community's faith and religious traditions with messages about long-term health. Program facilitators and Lay Leaders are trained to co-deliver nine sessions covering healthy eating and physical activity, including nutrition, meal preparation, food safety, and ways to increase physical activity.

This free, 9-week program is open to all. If you and your community are interested, please reach out to the Community Nutritionist.
